My name is Daniel Holman, although I currently go by a few other names, among them Mopati and MP. I’m part of the 9th group of Peace Corps volunteers to serve in Botswana (known as Bots 9) since the program reopened. From April through June 2010 I lived with a host family in the village of Molepolole and learned a bit of Setswana. I’ll be serving as an NGO Capacity Building Volunteer in Francistown until June 2012. I work with an NGO here in town that provides care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS.
I grew up in South Carolina and graduated from the University of Nevada with a degree in Marketing in 2007. Serving in the Peace Corps has been a dream since college. After an almost 2 year long application and nomination process; I finally received my invitation to serve. Before Peace Corps, I traveled for two years through the southeastern United States working as a Leadership Consultant for my Fraternity.
